Henry Heath’s Hat Factory
Original painting: Sold
Hidden in a side street in Soho, not far from the hustle and bustle sits the Hat Factory. When i worked nearby, i walked out of my way to pass this building as it had such a beautiful facade - the typography, the colour, the windows. One day, I decided i was going to paint it, and during the initial sketches for the drawing, met the new owner who ran an agency inside while sitting outside on the pavement. The original was sold to him, and now sits overlooking London from the fourth floor windows.
